Arleen Aguasvivas is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning video journalist and producer with nearly a decade of experience at NBC News. She has covered civil rights, immigration, criminal justice investigations, and the full range of stories a fast-moving newsroom throws at you. She’s done it from the control room, the newsroom, the field, and everywhere in between. A Harvard-educated storyteller, she helped build NBC News NOW from the ground up, one of broadcast's most ambitious streaming launches.
She now serves as Chief Content Officer of El Grito Media by LULAC, where she leads content strategy, editorial development, and a training pipeline for the next generation of Latino journalists. She guides work from the original pitch to the final cut with a commitment to accountability, representation, and community-centered storytelling.
A proud New York City native, Arleen believes the press has a responsibility to reflect the full complexity of the communities it covers. She also has a grumpy 11-year-old pomeranian she loves to talk about.
