About me
Claudia A. Arévalo is the founder of Arévalo Law Firm and a nationally recognized immigration attorney whose career has been shaped by her own experience coming to the United States from Mexico City to pursue her education. That journey gave her a firsthand understanding of the challenges immigrants face and a lifelong commitment to helping families navigate the immigration system.
She earned her bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona and later studied International and Comparative Law in Paris and Florence before receiving her Juris Doctor. Throughout her career, Claudia has combined legal practice with public advocacy, educating communities on immigration law, participating in DACA outreach efforts, and speaking nationally and internationally on immigration and border policy.
Her work extends beyond the courtroom. Claudia has advised community organizations, appeared in national media to explain complex immigration issues, and contributed her legal expertise to public education efforts that help families understand their rights and responsibilities. She has also been an outspoken advocate for expanding access to legal services and ensuring that immigrants have trusted sources of information during times of uncertainty.
Claudia currently serves as legal counsel to the Mexican Consulate in Nogales and the Consulate of El Salvador in Tucson, where she works on complex cross-border legal matters. Fluent in English and Spanish, with additional proficiency in several other languages, she has dedicated her career to expanding access to justice and ensuring immigrant families have a knowledgeable advocate by their side.
