About me
Daniel Garza is Senior Managing Director at OneMain Financial, where he oversees 375 branches, manages a $5 billion consumer loan portfolio, and leads more than 1,500 team members across 15 states in the South, Central, and Western United States. In addition to his operational responsibilities, he leads strategic initiatives focused on talent development, performance management, business optimization, customer acquisition, and serves as the Branch Network Senior Executive Sponsor for the company's Diversity and Inclusion Council.
Previously, Garza served as President of CitiFinancial Puerto Rico from 2006 to 2013, where he led the company's growth strategy, profitability initiatives, integration into U.S. operating platforms, regulatory alignment, and successful divestiture. During his earlier tenure with CitiFinancial, he advanced from Field Representative to Branch Manager, District Manager, and Region Manager before accepting a three-year expatriate assignment with Citi Banamex in Mexico City. There, he directed branch operations across six states, led systems and policy integration, implemented a multi-year branch expansion strategy, and developed leadership and field training programs.
Throughout his career, Garza has held numerous leadership and board positions, including service on the CitiFinancial North America Senior Management Committee, the Puerto Rico Country Board of Directors, the Board of Directors of FINANCO Puerto Rico, and the Board of ASPIRA Puerto Rico. He has also served on the Citi Texas Leadership Council, the Council of the Urban Executive Development Program, OneMain Financial's Executive Mentor Program, the National Asian American Coalition, and as a corporate leader and sponsor for organizations including St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the March of Dimes, and Fair Park Olympic Days in Dallas. He is a graduate of the AFSA Management Development Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Garza and his wife, Anne, reside in Southlake, Texas, with their two sons.
