About me
Diana Flores serves as Trustee for District 6 on the Dallas College Board of Trustees, where she has helped guide one of the nation's largest community college systems since her election in 1996. A longtime advocate for higher education and workforce development, she currently serves as Chair of the Board's Education Workforce Committee and previously served as Board Chair from 2018 to 2020 and Vice Chair during two separate terms. Her leadership has focused on expanding educational access and preparing students for success in a changing economy.
Outside of Dallas College, Flores serves as Vice President of Organizational Development for the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where she works to strengthen small businesses and promote economic growth across North Texas. She also coordinates the Gulf Region Small Business Transportation Resource Center, helping entrepreneurs access the resources needed to grow and compete. She holds a bachelor's degree from Dallas Baptist University and a master's degree in Public Leadership from UNT Dallas.
Throughout her career, Flores has championed educational opportunity, workforce readiness, and economic mobility, particularly for first-generation college students and underserved communities. Her leadership has earned numerous honors, including the LULAC National Presidential Medal for Leadership in Education and the TACHE Meritorious Service Award, recognizing her longstanding commitment to expanding access to higher education.
Whether serving on the Dallas College Board, supporting local businesses, or advocating for students and families, Flores has remained guided by a simple belief: education changes lives, and strong communities are built by investing in people and creating pathways to opportunity for the next generation.
