About me
Jennifer Thelusma is a Senior Staff Attorney on the Democracy Voting Rights Team at Southern Poverty Law Center (“SPLC”).
Jennifer completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and received her J.D. and a certificate in Public Interest and Public Service from Duke University School of Law.
Jennifer began her law career as a Public Interest Fellow at Tycko & Zavareei, LLP. There, she primarily worked on consumer protection class actions and whistleblower litigation. As part of her fellowship, Jennifer spent three months working at the Washington Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights in the Disability Rights Group. Following her fellowship, Jennifer handled a wide range of election law matters as an associate at Elias Law Group, LLP (“ELG”). Since leaving ELG, Jennifer has continued to advocate for consumers through impact litigation, including, most notably on behalf of student borrowers as a staff attorney at the Project on Predatory Student Lending and on behalf of democracy and justice at SPLC.
