Luis Perez is an award-winning broadcaster, entrepreneur, and community leader whose career has spanned more than two decades in Spanish-language media and sports broadcasting. A graduate of Amphitheater High School in Tucson and the University of Arizona, where he earned a degree in Political Science and Government, Perez has become one of the most recognized Spanish-language voices in professional sports.
Now entering his 18th season as the Spanish Voice of the Dallas Cowboys, Perez has played a pivotal role in connecting one of the NFL’s most iconic franchises with millions of Spanish-speaking fans across the country. He began his broadcasting career as a news reporter for Telemundo Tucson before transitioning into sports media, eventually serving as Sports Director for Telemundo Dallas and becoming a leading figure in Spanish-language sports coverage.
Beyond broadcasting, Perez is a successful entrepreneur and founder of Tortilleria La Norteña, a Dallas-based tortilla company inspired by his family's Sonoran roots and his mother's traditional recipes. Through both business and media, he has remained committed to celebrating Latino culture, heritage, and community.
Born in Cananea, Sonora, and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Perez's journey reflects the power of hard work, perseverance, and dedication to one's roots. Today, he continues to inspire audiences on and off the air as a respected broadcaster, business owner, and advocate for Latino representation in sports and media.
