Paola Garcia Abbo is Vice President and Head of Impact at OneMain Financial, where she leads initiatives that expand financial opportunity and strengthen economic mobility for underserved communities. Her career spans the public and private sectors, bringing together experience in finance, technology, and public policy to help families build stronger financial futures.
Before joining OneMain, Garcia Abbo served on the leadership team at fintech company Aura and worked as an investment associate at Goldman Sachs. Earlier in her career, she served in the Obama Administration, working in both the White House and the U.S. Department of the Treasury on issues affecting economic policy and public service. Those experiences shaped her belief that lasting change requires collaboration between government, business, and community organizations.
A native of San Francisco, Garcia Abbo earned a bachelor's degree in Political Economics from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a fellow of Management Leadership for Tomorrow and the Robert F. Toigo Foundation, organizations dedicated to developing diverse leaders in business and finance. Throughout her career, she has remained focused on one goal: expanding access to financial opportunity so more families can achieve long-term economic security.
