About me
Ximena Castillo is an Honors Bachelor of Science in Nursing student at the University of Texas at Arlington, an emerging healthcare researcher, and a dedicated civil rights leader serving as LULAC District 3 Director. A first-generation college student, she has built her academic and leadership career around a commitment to improving health outcomes, expanding educational opportunity, and empowering the next generation of Latino leaders.
At UT Arlington, Castillo has distinguished herself both inside and outside the classroom. She serves as a student researcher with the UT Southwestern Neuroscience Nursing Research Center, where she contributes to neuroscience and nursing research, while gaining hands-on clinical experience that will prepare her for a career as a registered nurse. An active leader in the Honors College, she has served as a Lead Honors Advocate, Undergraduate Assistant, and student leader, earning recognition for excellence in the clinical setting and academic leadership.
Castillo's commitment to service extends throughout the LULAC movement. She founded LULAC Mav Council #22507 at the University of Texas at Arlington, helping build a new generation of student advocates focused on civic engagement, leadership, and educational achievement. After serving as Deputy Director for Youth for North Texas LULAC District 3, she was elected District Director, where she continues to mentor young leaders and strengthen LULAC's presence across North Texas.
